The Goodwill MicroEnterprise Institute assists aspiring entrepreneurs in developing a start-up plan for their business. During a six week course which meets two nights a week, participants hear from a variety of subject matter experts such as lawyers, accountants, bankers and marketing experts. Part of each evening is spent in small breakout groups with a business coach helping to develop the plans. A good start-up plan can be the difference between starting a business and sustaining a business.
The program has been in existence for over 10 years and has 900 satisfied graduates who would recommend the course, with 470 of the graduates starting businesses.
